Fully surrounding the playground, the 8’ wide, paved kids bike loop creates a visual boundary between the playground and the rest of Firestone Park. The path provides an alternative to the park’s automobile friendly park loop road for kids to learn to ride bikes, parents to push strollers or older adults to get in their steps. The pathway will also allow emergency vehicles and maintenance staff to easily access the entire playground area and facilitate night-time safety patrols.
