The Original Playground

The original playground known to locals as “Funland” was built by volunteers and community members in 1995 and has since served as the foundation for many years of family memories and traditions. The wear and tear of generations of gatherings and playtime has left the current state of the playground in disrepair. The organization intends to replace the current structure with a modern, all-inclusive playground that can be used by the entire community.

For over a decade, the R & B Committee has spearheaded capital projects to improve the City of Columbiana.  They have done an amazing job to restore Firestone Park, transforming Mirror Lake, the pool house, welcome signs, refurbished old gutters, sidewalks and so much more.  With their support and the support of the committee we have begun our next phase with the replacement of Funland.

Unfortunately Funland at Firestone Park is at the end of it’s life.  This structure constructed in the 90’s only came with a 20 year life expectancy. See for yourself what many families encounter while using our current Funland.
